Our Leadership Team
Bheki Timothy Mkhize is a distinguished maritime professional and a visionary leader, and dedicated community advocate with over 25 years in the industry, including 14 years as Chief Marine Engineer Officer (Port Operations) at Transnet National Ports Authority until 2020. Mr. Mkhize complements his maritime credentials with strong academic grounding, he holds an Honours degree in Business Administration from MANCOSA and was recognized with the Port Manager’s Award in Leadership Excellence (2018) underscoring his ability to inspire teams and drive operational success. In 2019, he was elected Chairperson of the Integrated Local Community Forum (ILCF), leading negotiations with Sappi Saiccor Mill on community and business matters. Beyond his professional career, Mr. Mkhize has been involved as member of the Mnini Traditional Council and Advisor to Inkosi PP Luthuli, which was actively driving community and school development initiatives for socio-economic development. With a career that bridges maritime excellence, corporate leadership, and community service, Mr. Mkhize embodies the qualities of a high-impact leader committed to both industry advancement and social transformation.
